Zebra escape circus and lead Philadelphia police on city-wide chase

In scenes reminiscent of the film Madagascar, two zebra were spotted running around the streets of Philadelphia after escaping from a circus.

The escaped animals led the Philadelphia Police Department around the city streets for more than hour before they were successfully caught.

One of the zebra was caught by a ‘man wearing sweatpants’ using a lasso – claimed onlooker, CJ Mordock on Twitter.

Philadelphia Police Department tweeted: ‘Zebras in custody. They are already sporting old-timey prisoner getup ahead of trial and sentencing. Have faith, fellas.’
