Nigerian 2015 World bronze medalist Odunayu Adekuoroye has progressed to the 2017 World Wrestling Championship final.
Adekuoroye defeated U23 European champion Irina Kurachkina (Belarus), 10-0 at the women’s 55kg category.
Adekuoroye who becomes second woman from Africa to make World finals will face 2016 Cadet World champion Haruna Okuno (Japan) tech in the final.
However, Blessing Oborududu lost in the 63kg category to two-time Junior World medalist Orkhon Purevdorj by technical superiority.
Also, Aminat Adeniyi lost 4-3 in 58kg category to Olympic fifth-place finisher Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan.
