Troops Destroy Boko Haram Rocket Factory in Borno

Boko-Haram-rocket-factoryTroops of the Nigerian Army have discovered and knocked out a Boko Haram terrorists’ rocket factory at Jamrari in north eastern Borno State.

The 111 Special Forces Battalion, 7 Division Garrison made the discovery during a special raid operation carried out on Tuesday at Delwa general area.

In a statement, the Defence Headquarter said the unprecedented development had affected the much touted ability of the terrorists to fabricate rockets and their launchers using rudimentary materials.

“This has further crippled the terrorists and greatly embolden the troops in carrying out more offensive actions against the terrorists till they are defeated,” the statement read.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Yusufu Buratai, who is on constant communication with the troops, commended them for the discovery and other similar feats.

He encouraged them to do more, insisting that the terrorists are on the verge of being defeated.

The military feat is coming hours after a bomb blast in Yola, suspected to have been carried out by the Boko Haram sect, left at least 34 persons dead.
