This means the battle for Pay-TV battle has just begun.
In what looks like Rivalry among Nigeria’s pay-tv market, Kwesé Free Sports would be the only station to broadcast the international friendly match between Nigeria and Argentina on Tuesday, November 14.
This means it will bring this international friendly to its audience for free.
This information was disclosed by Kwese TV’s General Manager, Ms Lizzie Amkpa during an official visit to a media outfit in Lagos, Nigeria.
Amkpa stated that the international friendly between the two nations is exclusive to its free-to-air (FTA) TV channel, Kwesé Free Sports. This match will also kick-off by 5:30 pm Nigerian time.
In a move that would have foretold this event, Kwesé TV signed a partnership deal with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in June 2017. This deal allows both organizations to share broadcasting rights on major sporting activities across the country.
Also, Kwesé Free Sports TV channel holds exclusive FTA rights for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia for sub-Saharan Africa. However, this right excludes South Africa.
Kwesé Sports TV is only available on analogue TV (UHF 32) in Lagos and digital terrestrial TV (Free TV channel 32) in Abuja and Jos.
