Gawker shifts to politics to leave behind the snark and media gossip




Gawker used to love exposing the internal politics of the New York media scene, casting light on the personalities and egos of the industry’s elite.

But, as it turns out, there’s not much of a market for that narrow — and many say, petty — a focus. So Gawker, after months of self reflection, is shifting to cover the public politics of the entire country.
