President Buhari is visiting Kano and he’ll be commissioning facilities and plants on his tour.
President Muhammadu Buhari is currently paying a working visit to the ancient city of Kano where Governor Abdullahi Ganduje is dutifully playing host.
The president will commission the Kano State fertilizer blending plant (KASCO) while on this tour.
Kano State officials tell Pulse that KASCO has a capacity for 30,000 tonnes of fertilizer daily.
Buhari is also billed to commission ultra-modern equipment at the Giginyu Specialist Hospital in Kano.
Health minister, Prof Isaac Adewole, describes the Giginyu Specialist Hospital in Kano as one of the best public health facilities in the country–on the strength of its famed state-of-the-art equipment.

The presidential jet touched down in Kano around 10am local time.
The president's first port of call was the Emir of Kano's palace with Governor Ganduje in tow.
Our correspondents on the ground report that crowds lined up the major streets of the city to welcome the president.
Buhari harvested the most votes from Kano during the 2015 presidential contest.
Kano State officials regard this visit as historic.
Mr. Salihu Tanko Yakasai who is Director General of Media and Communications to the Kano State Governor has also described the visit of the president to the State as historic.
“It is historic because this is the first time in his political career that the president is criss-crossing the corners of the State to commission various projects. All his previous visits were straight to venues for rally,government house or palace. But he's visiting five project sites today”, Yakasai told Pulse.
The president will spend two days in Kano.
