A 41-year-old Egyptian woman, jealous that her husband of 28 years was planning to get a younger woman as a second wife, killed the man with the help of their son to stop him, Emirate247 reports.
The husband, a 50-year-old man identified as Yusri, had allegedly told his family in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, that he intended marrying a young girl in line with Islamic law which permits men to have four wives at a time, but the wife, known as Nima, would not have such.
After she expressed her disapproval, as argument ensued between them and the man stormed out of the house.
Nima waited for him to come back before she hit him with a sharp object on the head, the report said.
“She told police that she had sacrificed for the family for 28 years and worked in many places to help her husband and feed her children.
So she said she could not accept that a young girl comes and take all what she has done for the family,” a security source said.
